ING. EVA ŠTĚPÁNKOVÁ was born on April 3, 1945 in Městec Králové, the Czech Republic. After finishing her studies at The Institute of Chemical Technology, Prague in 1967 Eva Štěpánková was working for 4 years in various chemistry oriented fields and since 1971 as a head of the cosmetics production at the Institute of Medical Cosmetics until her start of maternity leave in 1988. After the birth of her daughter Jana in October 1988 Mrs. Štěpánková cooperated with the State Estate Praha západ in Jeneč on manufacturing natural cosmetics called KORA (RACIONAL COSMETIC). In 1991 she founded the firm RYOR (THE ABBREVIATION FOR THE PERFUME COMPOSITIONS USED IN THE BASIC FIRM´S PREPARATIVES) that started manufacturing natural herbal cosmetics for professional use in beauty parlours.
From the original two persons in 1991 the firm has increased its stuff to 70 employees and cca 120 milion CZK annual sales. Today the firm produces more than 60 kinds of natural cosmetics and 50 kinds of products for professional care in beauty parlours. Today having a 10 % part on the Czech cosmetic market, the firm RYOR is currently the largest private Czech cosmetics producer.
Awards:
1998 Ing. Eva Štěpánková awarded a ,,Lady Pro´98“ given to ten women in the Republic
2000 awarded a Excellent Female Enterpriser in the Czech Republic for 1999 by the Association for the VPR Prize of the Czech Republic
2000 awarded a Leading Female Enterpriser which is annually awarded to the top 40 most successful female enterprisers from the total 700 nominees.
2005 Ing. Štěpánková – evaluated as the 5th most influential women of the Czech business
2006 Ing. Štěpánková – title The Woman of the Year in the business section
2007 Ing. Štěpánková - title The Marketer of the Year 2007 from the Czech marketing company
Public beneficial activities:
- Sponsorship event for the handicapped – sight disorder, hearing disorder, cephalonia
- Action RODINKY – for families with small children, events for Children´s funds and summer camps – sponsorship of children´s homes, especially with gifts from RYOR´s products, events for the old and sick
- Cooperation with universities through financial support (grant solutions)
- Cooperation with management schools, teaching students – cooperation on problem solving
- Sponsorship of children who actively perform a particular sport and of schools educating cosmeticians
- Sponsorship and support of the oragization MAMMA HELP associating women after breast ablation
- A financial contribution and a common project of the RYOR, VIZE 97 and Mamma Help organizations for the support of women with breast cancer
Why did Mrs. Štěpánková decide to become the benefactress of the THE CZECH WOMAN - BUSINESS PERSONALITY IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC competition“:

"Because I suffer from a deep responsibility that I should pass my knowledge to people and especially to women, who have set to entrepreneurial activity and so they could avoid bitter experiences if they have enough of information. I´m glad to see women being successful, but they must know they will pay for it in every aspect. Hardly any partner is tolerant enough to bear an outstanding success of his woman. The situation isn´t easy for her, because she has to take care not „only“ of her job, but in most cases also of her family. And the times still aren´t mature enough to lay out equality and balance of family care evenly between both partners (if there are). That´s why I´m trying to help at least with an advice and sometimes with an example."
